Thanks to favourable weather conditions, climbing in this area is possible at all times of the year. Prisoj's cliffs and mild climate are perfectly suited for a winter climbing vacation when they are also the most visited, which has a favourable effect on extending the tourist season.

Natural climbing areas co-shape the tourist offer of the local community, in some cases, they are even its central part.


The karst rim, which boasts numerous climbing areas of varying difficulty, has been a popular destination for anyone looking for climbing challenges in recent decades. Thanks to favourable weather conditions, climbing in this area is possible at all times of the year. The cliffs of Prisoj are the most visited in winter, which has a beneficial effect on extending the tourist season.

The Koper municipality emphasized that natural climbing areas, last but not least, co-shape the tourist offer of the local community, in some cases, they are even its central part.


The central climbing areas of the Kraško rob are:

  • Osp: 267 climbing routes, difficulty 3 to 9a,

  • Črni Kal: 287 climbing routes, difficulty 3 to 8a and

  • Mišja Peč: 203 climbing routes, difficulty 4a/a+ to 9a+/b.
