Izola / Koper beach
Izola
Wild Beach
Four kilometres of the former seaside road, connecting Izola and Koper, are now reserved for pedestrians, cyclists, other recreation enthusiasts and, of course, bathers. The area is becoming the longest beach in Slovenian Istria, where you can now enjoy a sunset without traffic noises. There is also an important story connected to this place. During World War II, the SS Rex, the biggest Italian ocean liner of its time, sank right in the bay between Izola and Koper. There are several marked spots along the coast where you can swim with your dogs.
Vehicle access is possible, the parking lot is right by the beach, near the stores Merkur and Eurospin.
Suitable for recreation enthusiasts, nature lovers, dogs and dog owners.
